The course contains five self-paced lessons plus additional practice activities that progress through the stages of the research process. 

You can use this course to help you learn how to:

  1. Choose a research topic
  2. Develop a research question and strategy
  3. Conduct research
  4. Analyze and review your sources
  5. Use information effectively by synthesizing and citing your sources
  6. Additional practice (such as APA formatting, ethical use of information, and more) 

Unless your instructor has required you to do so, this course is not mandatory. Your instructor will be able to verify if you have completed the course at least once while you are a student at Cambrian.
